Secrets, scandals unfold in ‘The Fake Socialite,’ ‘Caught in the Act’ on Viva Movie Box

Viva Movie Box rolls out two new mini-series that explore the weight of choices shaped by love, ambition, and consequence, with Caught in the Act and The Fake Socialite now available for streaming on the platform.

VMB presents ‘The Fake Socialite’

Watch the newest drama mini-series on Viva Movie Box. A story of fame, power, and the true meaning of wealth, catch Miranda, Franki Russell, Priscilla Meirelles, and Joko Diaz in The Fake Socialite.

Directed by Gino Santos, The Fake Socialite is about Mikay, an assistant to a well-known socialite stylist. Because of her job, Mikay knows every secret and juicy scandal within the elite fashion circle.

One time, when she is once again humiliated by her boss, Shaila, and her socialite friends, like Amies, Mikay decides to take revenge and no longer allow herself to be pushed around.

Using what she has learned and the connections she has built through her career, Mikay finds a way to outshine her once-arrogant boss and her friends.

Mikay will gain even more prominence when she meets Agot, a socialite willing to help her. Will Mikay’s success in the socialite world continue to soar, or will her sudden rise also lead to her downfall?

VMB presents ‘Caught in the Act’

Directed by Temi Cruz Abad, Caught in the Act stars Marlo Mortel, Rita Daniela, and Marc Acueza in a story centered on faith, love, and the painful consequences of forbidden choices.

Caught in the Act follows Daniel, a seminarian who undertakes his regency in a quiet provincial parish. Disciplined and devoted, Daniel’s calm exterior conceals a vulnerability that emerges when he meets Kristin, a sheltered yet restless young woman longing to escape her stagnant life.

Trapped in a suffocating relationship with her possessive boyfriend Gino and under the watchful eye of her controlling aunt, Kristin finds in Daniel the connection and understanding she has long been searching for. Despite cautions and the weight of sacred vows, their growing closeness leads them down a risky and irreversible path.

When secrets begin to surface, shame and betrayal threaten to destroy everyone involved. Gino’s bitterness ignites revenge, while Kristin and Daniel are forced to confront the consequences of their choices made in the name of love.

Marking Rita Daniela’s first project since signing with Viva Artists Agency, Caught in the Act showcases her as Kristin, a woman with courage beneath her innocence. Marlo Mortel delivers a layered performance as Daniel, a man torn between spiritual devotion and human longing, while Marc Acueza brings intensity to Gino, a character fueled by pride and wounded ego.

Caught in the Act does not offer easy answers to a lot of questions. Instead, it challenges audiences to reflect long after the story ends: in the eyes of God, who is truly at fault?
