Acts of generosity, stories about helping struggling workers, and conversations about creating comforting spaces all became part of Beautéderm’s Reverie comeback launch as Jennylyn Mercado was formally introduced as the newest face of the returning line during an event held at a hotel in Quezon City on May 6, 2026.
During the event, Beautéderm CEO and President Rhea Anicoche-Tan also opened up about her initiative providing free full tank gas assistance to delivery riders and tricycle drivers affected by rising fuel costs.
The entrepreneur and philanthropist shared that the advocacy began during the pandemic through her “Yes to Love” campaign, where she sold some of her own designer belongings to encourage others to help those in need.
“Kahit no’ng pandemic pa, talagang inumpisahan ko yung Yes to Love campaign na yan. So pag may mga bagyo or what, saka lalo no’ng pandemic, nagbebenta talaga ako ng mga designer stuff ko para din tularan po ng iba,” she shared during the presscon.
(Even during the pandemic, I already started the Yes to Love campaign. Whenever there were typhoons and especially during the pandemic, I would really sell my designer items to inspire others as well.)
For Rei, material things can always be replaced, but helping people during difficult times carries far greater value.
“Kasi gusto ko na sabihin sa kanila ang materyal na bagay napapalitan yan. Nakakabili ulit tayo. At ano ba naman na isakripisyo mo yung isang paborito mong bagay para sa ibang tao?”
(I wanted people to realize that material things can always be replaced. We can buy them again. And what is sacrificing one favorite possession if it can help another person?)
She also talked about how her initiative has always touched the life of her family members as it eventually became a family effort, with her children joining the fuel assistance drives.
“Ako po actually yung nauna sa buong Pampanga—hindi ko lang alam sa buong Pilipinas—nagpa-gas po tayo, full tank! E nagulat ako, umabot na pala yung motor ng PHP 800 to 1,200 per full tank.”
(I was actually among the first in Pampanga — I’m not sure in the entire Philippines — to offer free full tank gas assistance. I was shocked to learn that motorcycles already cost around PHP 800 to 1,200 for a full tank.)
“No’ng una, naka-250 po tayo na pina-full tank. Tapos yung mga anak ko sumama sa ‘kin. Parang mas lalo pa silang bumait, kasi sabi ng mga tricycle drivers, yon palang full tank na yon, mabubuhay na sila ng apat na araw.”
(At first, we were able to provide free full tanks to 250 people. My children even joined me, and I feel like it made them kinder because the tricycle drivers told us that one full tank could already help them survive for four days.)
Rei also recalled how the experience changed simple conversations inside their home.
“Kaya tuloy, pag nag-o-order kami online, sabi nila, ‘Mama, ang mahal naman ng food? Pang-apat na araw na ng mga tricycle driver.’ Di ba?… Parang do’n pa ‘ko nag-trending,” she quipped.
(Whenever we order food online now, my children would say, ‘Mom, that food already equals four days for a tricycle driver.’ I think that was also when I started trending online.)
According to Rei, the advocacy later inspired other people to donate their own belongings as well.
“Ang sarap po sa feeling, kasi mas na-appreciate mo yung life, mas nagiging grateful ka na ‘A, we’re so blessed pala, sobra-sobra, pag ginagawa natin yung bagay na iyon’.”
(It feels so fulfilling because you appreciate life more and become even more grateful, realizing how blessed we truly are whenever we do things like that.)
“No one has ever become poor by giving,” reminds Rhea Anicoche-Tan.
Apart from leading Beautéderm, Rei also proudly spoke about her role as the 16th President of the Rotary Club of Balibago Pampanga for 2025 to 2026.
Since her induction in July 2025, she has spearheaded several outreach projects in Angeles City, including fuel assistance drives and donations supporting efforts to end polio.
“Proud to be a Rotarian talaga. Ang sarap tumulong. And always remember, guys, no one has ever become poor by giving. Kaya yes to love forever!”
(I’m truly proud to be a Rotarian. Helping others feels wonderful. And always remember, guys, no one has ever become poor by giving. So it’s yes to love forever!)
Jennylyn Mercado becomes the new face of Reverie
From conversations about giving back and creating comfort for others, the event also put the spotlight on Beautéderm’s newest milestone — the relaunch of Reverie.
The returning air fabric freshener line formally introduced Jennylyn as its newest face, with the actress embodying the warmth and calmness the brand hopes to bring into Filipino homes.
During her speech, Rei thanked supporters for allowing Beautéderm to become part of households for more than 16 years.
“You have let Beautéderm inside your homes for more than 16 years. And for that, we are grateful and we will continue to make products that speak your hearts while defining quality and beauty,” she said.
She explained that Reverie was designed for people who value comfort and welcoming spaces amid the chaos of everyday life.
“But beyond its appeal, Beautéderm has evolved into a brand that supports groups from various homes. And when we define home, we mean what’s within rather than what’s on the outside.”
Rei also said that the fabric air freshener line is Ydesigned for those who appreciate the comfort, the calmness, the strength, and the character of a welcoming space.
“And to the Ultimate Star and the new face of Reverie, Miss Jennylyn Mercado-Ho, thank you for graciously and sincerely bringing Reverie into your home and beyond.”
Meanwhile, Jennylyn thanked Rei for the trust and care she has continuously received from the Beautéderm family.
“Ate Rei, maraming salamat. Maraming salamat sa pangalawang taon na pagtanggap sa akin. Nako, salamat sa pagmamahal at sa pag-aalaga. Napakagaling pong mag-alaga ni Ate Rei talaga.”
(Ate Rei, thank you so much. Thank you for welcoming me for a second year. Thank you for the love and care. Ate Rei really takes very good care of people.)
She also spoke warmly about the relationship they developed over the years.
“At malaki ang pasasalamat ko sa pangalawang taon na ‘to… naka-develop kami ng napakagandang relationship, at napakabuti po talaga ng puso ni Ate. Maraming salamat. Ate.”
(I’m deeply grateful for this second year because we were able to build such a beautiful relationship, and Ate truly has a very kind heart. Thank you so much, Ate.)
