Who will become Viva’s next big star?
That’s the question at the heart of Viva’s Next Big Star, the talent search series that has officially premiered on Viva One, putting eight promising hopefuls under the spotlight as they compete for a chance to become the entertainment company’s newest leading talents.
Streaming with new episodes every Friday, the reality competition follows the contestants through auditions, workshops, challenges, and performances as they are evaluated not only for their looks and talent, but also for their attitude, determination, and star potential. The series aims to discover fresh faces who could eventually make their mark on television, film, and beyond.
Guiding the contestants throughout the competition is a panel of respected industry figures led by multi-awarded filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer Jason Paul Laxamana, known for films such as 100 Tula Para Kay Stella and Just a Stranger. Joining him is veteran director Mac Alejandre, whose credits include Let the Love Begin and Ang Panday, alongside award-winning actress Cristine Reyes, who completes the panel as judge and mentor.
Behind the cameras is director Ryan Evangelista, who chronicles the contestants’ journeys—from their first challenges and backstage preparations to the moments that could define their careers.
