CMB Film Services grants ₱1.25-M equipment rental for Puregold CinePanalo filmmakers

Filmmakers participating in the full-length category of the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival will receive increased production support after CMB Film Services renewed its partnership with the festival for another year.

As part of the continued collaboration, CMB Film Services has increased its equipment rental grant to P1.25 million for each eligible filmmaker, marking a P250,000 increase from the amount offered during the previous edition of the festival.

The higher rental grant will provide filmmakers with greater access to CMB’s industry-standard, high-quality production equipment. Available gear includes a wide selection of cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, grips, and other essential filmmaking accessories.

To ensure each production receives the equipment best suited to its needs, filmmakers will coordinate with officials from both CMB Film Services and the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival in selecting the most appropriate gear for their respective projects.

Jim Baltazar, President of CMB Film Services, spoke on the importance of the company’s partnership with the Puregold CinePanalo.

“For the past two years, the Puregold CinePanalo has been a major catalyst in the production of top tier, internationally acclaimed films made right here in the Philippines,” said Baltazar. “At CMB, we seek to empower the filmmakers of the Puregold CinePanalo by providing financial support and access to our world class equipment offerings. This will ensure the Puregold CinePanalo line up continues to raise the standard of excellence in both the local and international cinematic community.”

Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, Puregold senior marketing manager and festival chair, echoed these sentiments. “We strive to make this upcoming Puregold CinePanalo the biggest and most notable year in the festival’s history,” said Hayagan-Piedad. “Together with CMB, we have provided our filmmakers the grandest opportunity to realize their dream projects. Higher production grants, higher rental grants, full creative freedom, all these things together makes the 2026 Puregold CinePanalo a landmark occasion for culture and local cinema.”

The official line up for the 2026 Puregold CinePanalo’s full-length category includes Joseph Abello’s Wantawsan, BC Amparado’s Mono No Aware, Thop Nazareno’s Apol of my Ai, Carl Papa and Ian Pangilinan’s Patay Gutom (Dead Hungry), Lawrence Fajardo’s Beast, Mikko Baldoza’s Stuck on You, and Rodina Singh’s Multwoh (Patay na Patay Sa’yo).

The films will be screened in 2026 at the Gateway Cineplex 18 as well as select Ayala Cinemas.
