European Wellness, EW Villa Medica Germany, and Villa Medica Germany have clarified that they have no current affiliation with Villa Medica Philippines (VMP), following a previous press briefing where European Wellness Biomedical Group owner Prof. Mike Chan addressed the separation between the organizations.
The briefing and media Q&A were facilitated by The Law Group’s Atty. Unica Amor Mananquil and Atty. Lorraine Taguiam.
The clarification was issued publicly “to prevent public confusion and to protect patients, clients, suppliers, partners, medical practitioners, and regulatory bodies from any mistaken belief.”
In his statement, Chan addressed patients who had sought treatment from Villa Medica Philippines believing it was connected to EW Villa Medica Germany.
“I’m sorry for the worry and uncertainty you may now be experiencing,” he said. “You placed your trust in a name you believed stood by our care…relying on our name without receiving products or care from us.”
Chan also stated that outside Germany, the only other two countries with clinics currently licensed by the European Wellness Biomedical Group are Malaysia and Thailand.
He further identified Crystal Jacinto, described in his statement as the owner of the Manila Center, as well as “her doctors in her center,” as no longer authorized to use the group’s name in a way that would suggest a current connection.
“No further license or authority was granted by EW Villa Medica to transfer its licensing or open a new branch in the Philippines at this moment,” Chan said.
He also urged the public to exercise caution when considering products or services claiming to be under Villa Medica.
“Unverified products and services may not meet clinical performance standards and may have damaging effects to your health,” he said.
VMP Medical, Inc. reiterates independence
Following the public advisory, VMP Regenerative Clinic Management issued a statement reiterating that VMP Medical, Inc. is not connected to, affiliated with, or operating under EW Villa Medica Germany.
According to the management, the company has operated as a fully independent, Filipino-owned healthcare entity since August 2025 and does not represent itself as a franchise, branch, or subsidiary of any overseas clinic or foreign group.
VMP also clarified that the decision to end its partnership with EW Villa Medica Germany was initiated by its Board of Directors.
In its official statement, the management explained its reasons for transitioning into an independent entity:
Greetings of good health,
VMP Medical, Inc. issues this formal statement to clarify its legal status, corporate independence, and ongoing operations following recent public advisories regarding foreign clinic licensing.
VMP Medical, Inc. explicitly clarifies that it is in no way connected to, affiliated with, or operating under EW Villa Medica Germany. Since August 2025, VMP Medical, Inc. has operated as a fully independent, Filipino-owned healthcare entity. The company does not represent itself as a franchise, branch, or subsidiary of any overseas clinic or foreign group.
The decision to end the partnership with EW Villa Medica Germany was initiated by Board of Directors of VMP Medical Inc. This separation was prompted by operational constraints under the previous agreement that restricted local innovation, limited treatment development, and hindered efforts to make quality regenerative care economically accessible to Filipino patients.
Our decision to transition into an independent entity was guided entirely by our commitment to patient welfare, clinical integrity, and the integration of authentic Filipino care and values into our practice. By removing external restrictions, we are now fully empowered to innovate, expand our capabilities, and deliver world-class medical services at a price point that serves our local community.
VMP Medical, Inc. continues to operate with complete clinical independence, supported by a track record of successful patient outcomes, renewed hope, and improved quality of life while strictly following international standards for healthcare.
The management extends its sincere gratitude to its patients, medical staff, and partners for their continued trust and confidence. VMP Medical, Inc. remains steadfast in its mission to deliver compassionate, high-integrity medical care tailored to the needs of the Filipino people.
