The global spotlight is shining brighter than ever on NDM Original as two productions from the entertainment banner earned back-to-back victories on the international festival circuit, further cementing NDMstudios’ growing reputation in Asian cinema.

As part of the company’s 25th anniversary celebration, NDM Original’s suspense-thriller The Moments After and the critically praised short feature Midnight Cut both emerged victorious at two international film festivals held in Maharashtra, India.

“The Moments After” wins major awards at Ideal International Film Festival 2026

The suspense-thriller The Moments After impressed audiences and jurors at the Ideal International Film Festival 2026 in Mumbai, bringing home some of the festival’s top honors.

Written and directed by filmmaker Carlo Alvarez, the full-length feature won the Best Feature Film award for NDM Original.

Alvarez also received multiple individual awards, including:

• Best Film Director
• Best Screenplay
• Best Cinematographer

Lead actor Christian Paolo Lat likewise earned Best Actor for his performance in the film.

The Moments After follows a dark and suspenseful story filled with betrayals, secrets, and psychological tension. The film also stars Aileen Santiago, Marco Aguila, and Geo Xanders.

The film gained praise for its atmospheric cinematography, emotionally charged performances, and unpredictable storytelling.

“Midnight Cut” earns short feature honors

NDM Original continued its winning streak as Midnight Cut triumphed at the 6th Reels International Film Festival in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.

The short feature, part of the Random Pieces Series streaming on NDM PLUS, won:

• Best Short Feature Film
• Best Short Feature Film Director

Once again, Carlo Alvarez was recognized for his direction, highlighting his work across both full-length and short-format filmmaking.

Starring Chin Arima and Marco Aguila, Midnight Cut drew attention for its haunting atmosphere and emotionally driven storytelling.

NDMstudios marks 25th anniversary

The international wins arrive as NDMstudios celebrates its 25th anniversary in the entertainment industry.

Filmmaker Nijel de Mesa served as executive producer for both projects, while Jan Christine, executive vice president of NDMstudios, also worked as producer on the films.

Together, the creative team behind the projects continues to push NDM Original toward wider global recognition.
